8 Days Gorilla Tour in Rwanda
Overview
This 8 days luxury Rwandan safari Adventure will take you around the volcanoes National park for gorilla tracking and golden monkey which is a lifetime memorable experience, then encounter the wildlife animals in akagera national park.
Day 1: Arrival, airport pickup and transfer to the hotel
Welcome! This day on your arrival, you will be picked by our driver guide (Company representative) who will give you and extra ordinary welcome in a land of 1000 hills which is known for Rwanda and then transfer you directly to your hotel in Kigali for relaxation after your flight.

Day 2: Kigali city tour and Transfer to Volcanoes national park
You will be picked up from your hotel and then drive through the city, take a visit to Kigali Memorial Center where there are 250,000 people killed and buried in the mass grave during the Rwanda Genocide against the Tutsi. Then after proceed to the Campaign against Genocide Museum. CAG Museum depicts in details how the Campaign Against Genocide Plan was executed by RPF/A following the withdrawal of UN troops leaving the targeted Tutsi under the mercy of the Genocidaires and how only the RPF/A forces who were in the war of liberation took the unilateral decision to stop Genocide, Rescue victims of Genocide and defeat the Genocidal forces then after drive directly to volcanoes National park to your hotel.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and transfer back to your hotel.
Wake up very early in the morning and transfer to the volcanoes National park, You shall prepare for a thrilling experience of gorilla trekking. We shall head to the Headquarters of Kinigi with packed lunch, snacks, water plus a light rain jacket for a briefing about the gorilla trekking escapade. Along with your trekking gear and drinking water, the driver will drop you off at the starting point to trek the gorillas together with the ranger guides. Meeting them is so rewarding and you will spend maximally 1 hour with them as you take time studying them and taking pictures and videos. After spending your time with the fascinating mountain gorillas, return to the base and meet your driver and a transfer back to your hotel, dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 4: Golden monkey trekking and Ibyiwacyu cultural village experience.
This following morning we shall prepare for Golden Monkey trekking. Fully habituated now, enjoy a rare treat watching these unique primates play and perform in the forest. Picnic Lunch. After Lunch to Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village based in the community bordering Volcanoes National Park. At the village, you will have a wonderful, interactive experience, learning all about Rwandan traditions, cultural songs and dances. You will be given a chance to participate in local dances and drumming, all while wearing traditional local “Umushanana” dress; shooting arrows, attending a traditional healer’s medicine show. You will also have the opportunity to sample local food and banana beer and visit a local household or school. From there we shall drive back to your hotel.

Day 5: Ellen campus/Diane Fossy museum visit, transfer to Akagera National Park
Wake up very early in the morning and transfer to the Volcanoes National Park. You shall pass at the Ellen campus and Diane Fossy museum to learn about the gorilla conservation and protection done by Diane Fossy, the American primate researcher. Then from there you will drive directly to Akagera NP and check in your hotel.

Day 6: Half game drive and afternoon boat ride
Early in the morning after breakfast, our driver and guide will come to pick you from your hotel and drive you in Akagera National Park where you shall do a half game drive where you will see some of the big five animals such as elephants, buffalos, lions, rhinos, and leopards. In the afternoon, you will do an amazing boat ride on Lake Ihema. At the lake, expect to view various aquatic wildlife species like hippopotamus and crocodiles among others. Later drive to your hotel for relaxation. Night and dinner at your hotel.

Day 7: Full game drive and night game drive
After an early breakfast, we shall start a full game drive in Akagera National Park passing through Rwanda’s phenomenal landscapes and living lifestyles. Start your morning game drive, which takes you on tops of rolling hills surrounded by beautiful lakes from the south up to the north. Enjoy beautiful sceneries of Rwanda’s hilly landscape comprised of a blend of wetlands, savannah, and woodland. The natural forests also provide a relaxing feeling. The location of the park shows that it lies at a lower altitude as compared to the rest of the country, therefore meaning that it is not only warmer but also drier in the dry season. Here you meet the big five animals such as elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos known to be living in a game park and others such as impalas, zebras, bush bucks, water bucks, tops, oribis, baboons, giraffes, cape elands and so many others. This way takes you towards beautiful bushy rolling hills up to the north exit of the park. From here you will do a night game drive and get back to your hotel.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali, shopping, and transfer to the airport.
This following morning after having your breakfast we shall drive directly to Kigali to do shopping in the art craft markets around Kigali, then go for lunch, and finally transfer directly to the airport for your flight.
