Overview

These 6 days luxury Rwandan safari Adventure will take you around the volcanoes National Park for gorilla trekking and golden monkey, which is a lifetime memorable experience.

Day 1: Arrival, airport pickup and transfer to the hotel

Welcome! This day on your arrival, you will be picked by our driver guide (Company representative) who will give you an extra ordinary welcome in a land of 1000 hills which is known for Rwanda and then transfer you directly to your hotel in Kigali for relaxation after your flight.

Day 2: Kigali city tour and Transfer to Volcanoes national park

You will be picked up from your hotel and then drive through the city, take a visit to Kigali Memorial Center where there are 250,000 people killed and buried in the mass grave during the Rwanda Genocide against the Tutsi. Then after proceed to the Campaign against Genocide Museum. CAG Museum depicts in details how the Campaign Against Genocide Plan was executed by RPF/A following the withdrawal of UN troops leaving the targeted Tutsi under the mercy of the Genocidaires and how only the RPF/A forces who were in the war of liberation took the unilateral decision to stop Genocide, Rescue victims of Genocide and defeat the Genocidal forces then after drive directly to volcanoes National park to your hotel.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and transfer back to your hotel.

Wake up very early in the morning and transfer to the volcanoes National park, You shall prepare for a thrilling experience of gorilla trekking. We shall head to the Headquarters of Kinigi with packed lunch, snacks, water plus a light rain jacket for a briefing about the gorilla trekking escapade. Along with your trekking gear and drinking water, the driver will drop you off at the starting point to trek the gorillas together with the ranger guides. Meeting them is so rewarding and you will spend maximally 1 hour with them as you take time studying them and taking pictures and videos. After spending your time with the fascinating mountain gorillas, return to the base and meet your driver and a transfer back to your hotel, dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 4: Iby’iwacyu cultural village experience, Pfunda tea plantation visit and Napoleon Island hiking.

This following morning, we will travel to southern part, on the way we will experience Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village based in the community bordering Volcanoes National Park. At the village, you will have a wonderful, interactive experience, learning all about Rwandan traditions, cultural songs and dances. You will be given a chance to participate in local dances and drumming, all while wearing traditional local “Umushanana” dress; shooting arrows, attending a traditional healer’s medicine show. You will also have the opportunity to sample local food and banana beer and visit a local household or school. From there we shall continue our journey also passing to the tea plantation, one of the best and quality tea processors in Africa, on the way we will also pass to the Napoleon Island in the lack Kivu, then continue the journey to the Nyungwe National Park.

Day 5: Nyungwe Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk

Nyungwe is home to approximately 500 chimpanzees, with two habituated troops available for trekking: one in the main forest and another in the Cyamudongo section. Trekking typically begins early in the morning with a briefing, followed by a guided hike that can last between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees. Once located, visitors spend up to one hour observing these intelligent primates in their natural habitat, after we will experience the Canopy Walk suspended 70 meters above the forest floor, the 160-meter-long suspension bridge is divided into three sections: 25 meters, 45 meters, and 90 meters. The walkway is accessible via the Igishigishigi Trail, a guided hike that provides an opportunity to observe the forest’s rich biodiversity, including various monkey species and birds.

Day 6: Transfer to Kigali, shopping, and transfer to the airport.
